FIVE!!

 

I can't believe my beautiful, sensitive, fun loving big boy is five!!  He just gets more fun and more grown up every day.  Dominic spent the day of his birthday (and every day since) proudly telling everyone that he's 5.  He tells us he loves being 5!!  We love that he's 5, too!!

For Dominic's birthday, we surprised him with a trip to ToysRus to pick out a new "big boy" bike.  His 12" bike was just too small to pedal, so he test drove a few bikes at the store and settled on a bright orange bike that is the perfect size for him.  He also spent his $3 gift from the store on a new bell for his bike.  We then went to the Old Spaghetti factory for lunch.  Dominic and Elliott loved eating there and spent most of their meal eating my spaghetti and Travis' meatballs.  We followed up lunch with a trip to Big Al's to go bowling-- which is what Dominic wanted to do for his birthday this year.  They have an awesome set up for kids with automatic bumpers and a ball guiding ramp.  Both Dominic and Elliott scored more points than I did (which I should mention isn't very difficult).  We also spent some time in the arcade and found a few fun kid games.  Dominic and Elliott enjoyed playing games and winning tickets.  They also had fun trying out a race car game.  The boys were properly exhausted after a day of fun, and so were we...  What a great day!!
